THE CORNERSTONE

A wonderful tribute to Manolo Cebada has taken place in Cádiz, in Chiclana, on the Barrosa beach.

Manolo Cebada was a wonderful quantity surveyor whom I was lucky enough to have as a collaborator in almost all my works in Cádiz. He was enormously efficient and also as a person he was outstanding. He was also a first class surfer. So much so that his friends, the surfers of the Barrosa beach have paid him a tribute that is difficult to forget. If you watch the video of what happened there, you will be amazed. All the surfers in the water, forming a huge heart. And in the centre, one of them was carrying a big travertine stone with his name engraved on it. The stone with which we had built with Manolo the House of Infinity, in the Playa de los Alemanes, was deposited at the bottom of the sea.

I’m sure Manolo liked it. It was a beautiful act. At the same time simple and at the same time grandiose, universal. Welcome Manolo!
